Bird Lake Moon

This is the second Sunshine State book I read. Mitch is a mess, his parents are getting divorced, he makes a bunch of bad choices, he is dishonest and he is angry. Spencer is confused, should he be sad about the death of his brother, even if he was only two when it happened? His parents sure are sad and his younger sister is wonderfully weird. Now Mitch and Spencer are spending the summer right next door to each other at Bird Lake. You being to wonder if thier budding friendship will be a good thing or a bad thing. This book is written by one of my favorite picture book authors, so it surprised me how much I disliked this book....but that does not mean you won't like it. Give it a try and let me know!
